Grappling and grit.

 

For young kids ages 5-7, jiu jitsu is less about complex moves and clever technique. Jiu jitsu the Push Academy way is about fitness, discipline, creativity, challenge and grit. Kids will learn to love moving their bodies. There’s a heavy emphasis on developing bodyweight strength, with movements such as push-ups, burpees, air squats, and abdominal exercises. Kids stay active and moving the entire class. We teach basic technique such as falling safely, and fundamentals of jiu jitsu such as takedowns and ground defense.
